This is a Limousin Romanesque building whose five-sided apse and choir, apart from the windows, retain their original character. Dating from the 11th and 12th centuries, it was remodeled in the 15th and 16th centuries. It comprised a long, barrel-vaulted nave ending in a small hexagonal sanctuary. The building was partly destroyed and burnt down during the Hundred Years' War. In the 15th and 16th centuries, the ogival nave, south chapel and bell-wall were added.
