Built on the Argentat fault, between the Saint-Bonnette and Montane valleys, the village takes its name from the antimony mines that were exploited during the 19th century. Legend has it that this mineral was highly prized by alchemists, who used it to make the philosopher's stone. In the village, discover the small church and the contemporary fountain. Nearby is the Malangle cross, once used to protect walkers and locals alike.
