This monument which has not been the subject of reasoned excavations or surveys accurate was dismantled in the 1970s and is found today
partially reassembled in the lapidary garden.
On the edge of the Gallifet canal, it brings together some archaeological remains, stelae, fragments of a Gallo-Roman temple and in particular the altar discovered in the hamlet of St-Pierre (witness to imperial worship).
Standing in the Félix Ziem lapidary garden, an Armenian cross (Khatchkar) pays tribute to the victims of the Armenian genocide of April 1915.
The khachkar is a stone stele on which stands a large cross in relief. Work of art between sculpture and architecture, it is a specific Armenian creation. UNESCO included in November 2010 the art of Armenian stone crosses on the list of intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
The stele was inaugurated in December 2015, it participates in the duty of memory so as not to forget the mistakes of the past.
