Saint-Quirin chapel

Description

Saint Quirin Chapel in Himeling, a municipality within the Puttelange-les-Thionville community, was built in 1863. It is understated in appearance and dedicated to Saint Quirin, the protector of livestock. The right altar of the choir is dedicated to him and features a statue of him wearing a helmet with a crest and plume, and a kind of breastplate. The statues are made from painted wood and are all by Nicolas Greff. He was well known in the region, having decorated many of the churches, including the nearby church of Saint Nicholas de Rodemack.
