Espace de Découverte de la Faille de Meyssac et de la Pierre
Description
The showroom, open all year round, features nine illustrated panels with detailed explanations, and six well-stocked display cases featuring stones and fossils characteristic of our region and the subjects covered. A world first: a new showcase featuring an exceptional fossil of a langoustine over 190 million years old, the only known sample of this species.
A seventh showcase contains a model showing the Meyssac fault in its geographical and geological context.
Basement access and vaulted cellar.
Stone objects, tools and a dozen panels describing the heritage and buildings of Noailhac and the surrounding area.
