Chapel of Aidling

An independent commune, then an annex of Bouzonville since 1810, the village belonged to the legal domain of Bérus, while its
property of the abbey of Bouzonville.
In 1281, Duke Ferry of Lorraine confirmed his right of possession of the village and the land, while the commune of Rettel also had a right to the said land.
Rettel also had a right to the land. Until 1802, Aidling, like Bouzonville, was part of the commune of Vaudreching.
The chapel certainly dates from the 17th or 18th century and is dedicated to the Holy Cross, in honour of Our Lady of the Rosary, patron saint of the village,
honoured every first Sunday of October.
