Description
L'ancien vicinal Jemeppe-Hannut (de 44 km de long) possédait 3 ramifications dont celle de Saint-Georges-Engis d'une longueur de 14 km et qui traversait le village des Awirs. Ce tronçon mis en service en 1913 a été démonté par l'occupant en 14-18 et ensuite reconstruit pour être réouvert en 1923. Il a été démonté définitivement en 1949 et s'est ainsi transformé en sentier de promenade sur lequel vous vous trouvez.
