Eglise Saint Gervais et Saint Protais

Discover one of the beautiful churches of Civraisien in Poitou in the south of the Vienne.
The church of Saint Gervais Saint Protais dates from the 12th century and has a magnificent portal, registered in the inventory of Historic Monuments in 1925, with a very beautiful Romanesque decoration framed by blind arcatures. This portal is arched by two stone keystones decorated with sculptures protected by a molded archivolt. The keystones of the head arch are all decorated with a cabled animal resembling a seahorse.
