Description

The gothic stone church was built between 1380 and 1452, against the wall outside the bastide. Its bell tower, MH, 28m, was higher before the Huguenots. The hexagonal stair tower is leaning against it. Under the large porch, the south pillar bears 2 sigils of the crowned Christ and the north: 1452 in Gothic. The Saint-Loup chapel in the southwest is the burial place chosen by Jean de Castelnau du Lau, bishop of Bayonne in the 15th century. The 1718 tomb of François de Guichenet, Lord of Borde and master surgeon in Geaune, is set in the corner of a wall
In the northeast chapel, the lamp bases are decorated with heads, the bearded count and the curly countess of Foix, benefactors of the church
Outside, two doors are blocked, the southern one is crowned with a fleurdelisé shield with the arms of Geaune
The buttresses extend beyond the walls of the nave, showing that the roof was higher b
