Francisco Lloréns painted this traditional and emblematic neighbourhood of Betanzos -A Fonte de Unta- in the open air in 1918. This winter canvas is characterised by a wealth of shades of warm greys impregnated with humidity and veiled by an atmosphere that unifies the colour. This point is part of the Route of the Impressionism of the Mariñas, declared as European Cultural Itinerary by the Council of Europe, a century after Lloréns painted this work.
