Gandarío beach in Bergondo, which is part of the "European Route of Impressionism", was portrayed in 1942 by the landscape painter Francisco Lloréns Díaz, also called the "Painter of the Galician Landscape" or the "Painter of the Mariñas". In this canvas, Lloréns tries to highlight the emotion he feels and expresses in front of the humid and nebulous difficulty of his land. The delicate range of greys, ochres and greens is prototypical of his palette.
