On Whit Mondays, at dawn, a religious march covers more than 10 km around the city. This stroll around Saint Vincent dates from the thirteenth century. The honoured Saint - Waudru’s husband, who is the patron saint of the city of Mons - founded an abbey in Soignies in the seventh century. From 11.00 a.m., an historic procession makes its way along the city streets, depicting sumptuous scenes and accompanied by a variety of musical groups, floats and equestrian activities. All in all, an exceptional opportunity to marvel at this rich chapter of our past.
