The gîte is a 19th-century Correzienne house, typical of non-farming rural dwellings, with south-west exposure and views over the village and its hills. Beynat, cité du Cabas, is at the heart of the Corrézienne chestnut grove. The village offers country vacations, with hiking opportunities starting from the gîte. Beynat has all the shops within 400 m of the gîte, with a Sunday morning market in the covered market hall and local farmers' markets in July and August. The tourist center of Miel (12ha lake) with supervised bathing in season has been P Bleu 10 years. Beynat, at the gateway to the Dordogne valley, is close to some of the most beautiful sites in the Midi Corrézien: Aubazine Cistercian Abbey and the monks' canal, Collonges la Rouge, Curemonte, Turenne, Beaulieu sur Dordogne and its small local heritage, etc...
