Village de Châtelais

Just 10km north of Segré, take a guided tour of the village of Châtelais, in the heart of Anjou Bleu, and step back in time from Antiquity to the end of the Middle Ages.
The ARCS offers two themed tours that retrace almost 7,000 years of history: one takes you from the end of the Neolithic period to the fall of Rome, while the second explores the period from the settlement of the Merovingians to the Wars of Religion. These immersive tours show how populations, landscapes and practices have changed over the centuries.
The visit continues at the Châtelais archaeological museum, included in the tour, where you can discover numerous artefacts from local excavations: everyday objects, ornaments, tools, burials... all authentic witnesses to the area's rich history.
To round off your discovery, take part in a themed workshop and leave with your own creation, a fun and friendly way to extend the experience.
