Le Mont Larron

Le Mont Larron
Le Mont Larron

Description

Mont Larron, like all the other mounts and puys in the region, is part of the Montagne Limousine. In Limousin parlance, the term Montagne Limousine, or simply Mountain, refers to the highest part of the region. A summit, of course, and even two. The first to come to mind is Mont Larron, towering 624 metres above the surrounding hills. But opposite it, on the other side of the Maulde, which flows between two dams, rises the Bois Larron, whose summit corresponds to the Saint-Geneviève fountain. The Arbre aux Poules, a remarkable oak tree, is also worth a visit. There's also a trail to discover its treasures, as well as the surrounding villages.
