By an astonishing coincidence, the town hall, inaugurated in 1883, was built on the site of the ancient forum. Architect Charles-Alfred Leclerc drew his inspiration from the Paris town hall. Set on a granite base, the limestone facade blends late-Renaissance and Louis XIII styles. The mosaic medallions feature four famous Limoges: enameller Léonard Limosin, chancellor d'Aguesseau, revolutionary Vergniaud and Empire marshal Jourdan. Before leaving, take a break by the square's fountain, beautifully decorated with porcelain plaques.
