Le travail du Chiroux
Description
The village of Le Chiroux boasts a number of heritage features on the 'couderc' (community space - symbolic center of the village): the fountain, the washhouse, the cross and now a work or 'tramail', an object used to hold cattle while the farrier shod them. The small central square has been surrounded by a low dry-stone wall and covered with tuff to hide the asphalt. Le Chiroux is a popular stopping-off point for walkers.
