This former watchtower was part of the town fortifications. Also known as the "white tower", it is the last vestige of the fortifications that encircled Aubusson. It was used to monitor movements in the town. On the front of the tower, three dials facing the town indicate the time.
The tower is easily recognized by its pepper-spray roof covered in chestnut shingles. It is embellished by a bell decorated with three small bas-reliefs: a mitred bishop wearing a crosier and blessing; Saint-Michel overcoming the devil; and the Virgin and Child. A cross placed on three steps, itself made up of small crosses, completes the decoration.
From the platform in front of the tower, you can admire a vast panorama of the city.
