"Clock" Tower
Description
The West Gate (destroyed in 1793) is dominated by the Clock Tower which dates from the early 13th century. At that time, the town was surrounded by a wall and a ditch. The enclosure was demolished at the end of the 17th and beginning of the 18th century.
