Eglise Saint Germain

Description

This building, listed as a Monument Historique, is in the early Gothic style and was built in the late 13th and early 14th centuries. The bell tower and porch were added around the 15th century. The bays in the bell tower, the access door, the columns and the decorated capitals could all come from the former bell tower. The interior features a solid cherrywood Christ above the altar, a granite baptismal font and numerous statues.
The oldest bell, weighing 611 kg, bears the inscription "1882", as well as the names of the parish priest (François Touraille), the mayor (Victor Cancalon) and the godfather (François Aristide Touraille) of the time. This bell is the result of the recasting of its predecessor, dated 1682 and broken in 1880.
The second, lighter (440 kg), dates from 1865 and bears the name of parish priest Lasnier Messet and mayor Toumieux. The third is
