The most emblematic vestige of Corrèze's medieval past, the 15th-century Porte Margot bears witness to the town's rich past. It may take its name from Marguerite de France, nicknamed "Reine Margot", 1st wife of Henri IV and daughter of Catherine de Médicis. In the center, a statue of St-Martial, the city's patron saint, welcomes visitors.
