Description
From the Latin "petra ficta" meaning planted stone, the village of Pierrefitte nestles in the heart of a rolling landscape where water has carved deep, narrow gorges, giving rise to remarkable natural sites such as the Daro waterfall. On the village square, the church of Sainte-Marie houses a beautiful 15th-century polychrome pieta.
