Located at a few steps from Tulle, the village has a rich heritage. In Saint Etienne's church, dated from the 12th Century, discover the tomb of General Louis-Joseph Hugo, uncle of the famous writer Victor Hugo. On the left of this church stand the ruins of the former castle of the viscounts of Turenne. In the south, you will see another Castle, also built by the Turennes' and wich belonged to the General Hugo from 1828 to his death in 1853. His son Leopold exploited the lands of Chameyrat of which he was the mayor between 1859 and 1866. .
