Description

Cult retorts of Arletty of the French movie, realized by Marcel Carné and taken out in 1938 " Atmosphere! Atmosphere! Have I a mouth of atmosphere?" In the hotel of the North, situated in front of the lock of Récollets, along the Saint-Martin canal in Paris, bosses ( the couple Lecouvreur) and the customers, in particular the lock keeper Prosper Trimaux and his wife, are gathered around the table to celebrate cheerfully a communion. Enter a young man, Pierre, and a young woman, Renée, two sad lovers, who come to rent a room. In fact, it is to commit suicide for economic reasons. They look at the surroundings and at the canal at the window.
