Built on a rocky promontory at the end of the 11th century, the Romanesque church was rebuilt in the Gothic period and fortified during the Hundred Years War. The jewel in the crown of this building is the crypt of Saint Catherine. The mural paintings dated from the 1200s represent some episodes of the legendary life of Saint Catherine of Alexandria. Of very high quality, these paintings testify to the importance of this church and illustrate the transition period between Romanesque and Gothic art.
Classified as a Historic Monument in 1862.
