The core of this collection, assembled by Henri Aymard (1878 - 1956), is made up of 35 12th-century Romanesque capitals, a dozen tailloirs and 2 portal voussoirs. The ensemble takes the form of a medieval chapel. It's not a place of worship, but rather a setting recreated in the early 20th century, combining the 3 major artistic expressions of the Middle Ages: sculpture, painting and stained glass.
