Si vous levez la tête, vous verrez que la façade de brique et de pierre reçoit des médaillons en terre cuite à l'effigie de grands savants français. N'hésitez pas à faire le tour du bâtiment et à jeter un oeil à la nouvelle entrée contemporaine, qui fait face au canal.
