Abbaye Saint-Pierre

The church is a former Benedictine abbey founded by the Duke of Gascony Guillaume Sanche at the end of the 10th century. This building reached its peak between the 11th and 14th centuries and was one of the three most important abbeys in Béarn. In decline from the end of the 14th century, it was ravaged in 1569 during the wars of religion and definitively closed in 1773. Open to the public nowadays.
