A stopping point or starting point for the hike around Mount Thabor, it’s also just a few hours from major peaks and a stone’s throw from high-altitude lakes.
In particular, you can explore Laramon and Serpent Lakes on foot.

Accessible on foot in summer, or by snowshoes or ski touring in winter—whether with friends, in a group, or with family—we welcome guests of all ages during your high-altitude getaway, whether for a day trip or a multi-day trek in the heart of the Cerces.

You can spend the night here or simply enjoy our panoramic terrace and savor the menu we offer: simple, carefully prepared, home-style cuisine. A cozy dining room, gently warmed by a wood fire, provides a comforting—and why not, indulgent—break!

To reach the refuge, allow 1 hour from the Fontcouverte parking lot in summer and 2.5 hours from Névache in winter.


Our winter cabin is available for self-catering stays. It’s ideal for a self-catering trip with friends or family. It’s equipped to accommodate 12 people. During unstaffed periods.

Inside, you’ll find a stove, firewood to chop, a dormitory-style sleeping area, dishes, and a gas stove.
The caretaker asks that you contact them in advance to discuss the details and confirm availability.
A contribution of 18 euros is requested to cover building maintenance, gas, and firewood.
