Carlaveyron Nature Reserve

Description

Created in 1991, this reserve protects an area of 598 hectares and ranges from 1090 to 2305 m.
Medium and high mountain area with a very contrasted relief: in the upper part, a vast glacial cirque where you can find a multitude of wetlands and small lakes. On the slopes, a beautiful mountain forest and, in the lower part, the Gorges de la Diosaz. The difficult access and the wild character of the place have allowed a very diversified fauna and flora to maintain itself.
Free access, conform to the regulations of the natural reserve.
