Prunus serrulata "Shirotae
Description
シロタエ(白妙)
The large flowers of this tree are white and delicately hemmed, reminiscent of the precious fabric made from mulberry fibers. Its fragrant flowers exude a light almond scent.
Its conical shape when fully grown reminds us of Mount Fuji. That's why it's so much in evidence in Japanese parks and temples.
