Monument - borne Voie Sacrée
Description
In front of the station, the Voie Sacrée marker is white and red, topped by a bronze French serviceman's helmet adorned with palms. It is the last of the BAR LE DUC / VERDUN itinerary, through which French reinforcements and supplies arrived during the Battle of Verdun. It is included in the Monument de la Voie de la Liberté (1944). There are 2 markers on either side: one for the First World War, the other for the Second.
