MUSEUM OF THE HERITAGE OF THAON

A village linked to paternalism and marked by industries and their thousands of workers. Black, white, figures: it's the famous Bernadette method, set up by the sisters to teach the Catholic religion and good manners. Then a Woman, an astonishing hairiness, a character, she doesn’t need to be introduced anymore: the bearded lady Clémentine DELAIT.

Old postcards, paintings, documents, anecdotes... are all here to reveal the surprising history of the city.
Do you want to remember your childhood in Thaon? Collections of photographs of schools, sports and holiday camps are available.
Temporary exhibitions on different themes throughout the year will bright up your visits.
Visit the museum, alone or with our team of volunteers, and you will never look at the city in the same way again. Our historical tour of the city is a fine example of our desire to help as many people as possible discover our city.
The museum is open every Saturday of the year, from 2pm to 5pm, free admission.
