FONTAINE DE PIONER-BRUNNEN
Description
During the First World War, the German armies needed water supplies and therefore built fountains in the area of the Saint-Mihiel Salient. The sheltered basin is surmounted by a triangular pediment where the original German inscriptions have been hammered and replaced by the marine anchor representing the French colonial troops.
