Especially prosperous in the post-war years, the Électricité Industrielle Belge company, specialised in the construction of electrical cabinets and industrial equipment, employed up to 400 people. Due to a lack of space, the company moved to the industrial zone in Plénesses in 1989. This brownfield site in the middle of an urban centre became the property of the Walloon region in 1997 and was declared a site of regional interest. The SORASI took charge of renovating the exterior of building D while the social housing company Logivesdre was responsible for the interior redevelopment. As a result, 23 apartments were created.
