The Châtelet d’Andrimont castellum and its impressive dimensions of 80 metres long and 18 metres wide, again became home to the catholic clergy who had been driven out of Prussia by Bismarck (1815-1898). The Lazarist fathers followed them and set up a school before moving to Theux to found the "Saint-Roch" school. The castellum then became a retirement home before it was purchased by a property developer from Brussels who incorporated it into an eco-district called "Les jardins du Châtelet" (the castellum gardens).
