The Givetian limestone in the Bebronne cave, formerly known as the "Trôkay" cave, cracks rapidly making the site very dangerous. The underground network of galleries is classed as very difficult by the cave rescue services, so maximum precautions must be taken before entering. There is a risk of flooding which couldblock unwary potholers inside for several days. The entrance to the cave resembles a natural hollow as can be seen near Viroinval. The network of galleries is especially interestingin sporting terms since there are very few concretions. The cave has a series of rich and varied ecosystems and is a hibernation zone for bats in an area where natural sites are rare. Important: the interior is forbidden to everyone except specialist potholers.
