Near to the Saint Jean Baptiste church in Mont-Dison, lies the remarkably restored "Ortmans" residence, built in the middle of the 18th century in the Mosan Renaissance style. The brick and calcareous stone façade stands on footings made of rough-hewn blocks of sandstone, a technique typically used during the Mosan Renaissance period. As for the "Saint Jean Baptiste" circle, built on foundations of stone from the quarries of Trôkay, it played host to the star Esther Williams who toured Europe to boost the morale of American troops during the Second World War.
