La Chapelle Dozot ou Sainte Rwesmelle

Located on the narrow street by the Citadel in a place where it is possible to contemplate the entire town and its surroundings, the Sainte Rwesmelle Chapel has been a place of worship since 1843 whose outlandish history gave rise to its contraceptive virtues.A former chapel built out of rough-hewn stone is said to have existed before M.-E. Dozot erected, according to legend, another chapel in order to house a figure of the Madonna which he found in his meadow, which he believed to be divine.
