On the way down to Membach, perpendicular to No. 11 on the Place ThomasPalm square, there is a magnificent timbered house dating from the middle of the 18th century. The façade boasts a visible wooden structure known as a timber frame which was, in fact, a "skeleton" that needed to be filled in with either cob or bricks.
