Description

Built using rough-hewn sandstone blocks, this small edifice, by which a large lime tree used to stand, has a porch on its façade. An openwork clock tower sits atop the double sloped roof. Dedicated to Saint Anne and Saint Joachim, this chapel was already present on the map established by Ferraris in the last third of the 18th century. The chapel was restored in 1995, thanks to the know-how of local craftsmen and the many volunteers who strove to give it its current appearance. In the past, people prayed to the mother of the Virgin Mary in favour of children, against sterility but also for protection against the danger of lightning in the case of storms.
