LES CHEMINS DE L'EAU

LES CHEMINS DE L'EAU

Description

The chemindeleau.com website aims to make known all kinds of places, works or events by browsing the many streams from the Plateau de Langres.

Not to mention the fauna and flora that are particularly rich there.
It offers an original way to navigate the Internet based on geographic proximity.

It results from a network work driven by passionate people in relation with cultural associations, learned societies and tourism stakeholders. As often as possible, links are created to existing websites for the purpose of highlighting them.

Once nicknamed "the water tower of France", the Haute-Marne is largely marked by the presence of water.

Country sources and rivers, the department sees the birth of the Marne, the Aube, the Meuse and many other tributaries of the great French rivers. No less than 1800 km of rivers and streams run through the territory of Haute-Marne. The canal Between Champagne and Burgundy, crosses the department from north to south and constitutes an important tourist asset.

Finally, the water offer in Haute-Marne is complemented by the presence of five lakes on the territory. To the north, Lake Der, the largest artificial lake in Europe, feeds the Paris basin and offers many tourist activities, ornithological or sports. To the south, the four lakes around Langres, wild or managed, supply the canal between Champagne and Burgundy. Not to mention, the spa town of Bourbonne-les-Bains, whose virtues of its waters have been known for more than 2,000 years.
