After proving himself alongside chefs such as Alain Dutournier, Jean-Michel Lorrain and Alain Ducasse, Julien, head chef at L'Orangerie, decided to settle in Pornic and set up his own business.
He makes it a point of honour to work with local suppliers wherever possible, using French produce. So he's been scouring the region in search of the pearls of the coast, and is delighted to be able to present his creations thanks to the partners he's decided to work with. Local, French, organic... these are all words that are part of the restaurant's mindset. And when you meet a producer who is committed to this approach, the complicity just falls right into place.
Julien's vision is to create a tasty, gastronomic menu that reflects the seasons and changes regularly. He likes the idea that eating is not just about the need to eat, but can be a surprising experience in terms of sight, smell, texture and/or taste.
The art of surprise with carte blanche menus
L'Orangerie offers two carte blanche menus, "Découverte" and "Exception", for a unique gastronomic experience. Let the chef surprise you with a tailor-made menu to suit your tastes and desires.
Indicate any allergies, dietary contraindications or simply what you don't like, and give free rein to the chef's creativity.
