This listed bourgeois house of Egyptian neo-classical style (lotus-leaf capitals) was built in the 1830s by Pierre-Théophile Segrétain for former mayor Chebrou de la Roulière. Purchased by the City, it was the first girls' high school of the Academy of Poitiers until 1897. From 1900 to 1913, it was home to the Chamber of Commerce. The practical school of commerce and industry was created there in 1917. House of associations from 1956 to 1988, it later became the Foyer des Jeunes Travailleurs (FJT).
