Église Saint-Pierre

The parish of Saint Pierre de Bougon is mentioned in the 10th century in a charter from the abbey of Saint-Maixent.
The façade and the base of the bell tower may date from the 12th century. Later, the nave was vaulted and a pointed arch window was made in the chevet wall.

In 1610, a wall was built between the nave and the choir and the choir was redesigned.

In the middle of the 19th century, major repairs were carried out with the removal of the vault, which was replaced by a wainscot that has now disappeared.
