This friendly hotel-restaurant is well-known for its inventive cuisine and 'upscale bistro' style.
During the month of November (Covid restrictions), the restaurant stays open only for hotel guests. However, the Communal offers you some take-away menus on reservation (you find the order link below, in the multimedia section).
Welcome to the Communal, a hotel-restaurant with an artisanal vocation, which prioritizes fresh, local products in order to create homemade dishes with authentic flavours.
Nothing embodies 'terroir' like cuisine! The traditional dishes of the Illiez Valley, with its specific microclimate which is both Mediterranean and Alpine at once, are a memorable experience of terroir at it's most remarkable.
The manager and his chef love this region and its specialties, which is why they have forged close ties with local farmers, livestock owners, cheese makers, butchers, brewers, distillers and, of course, winemakers.
Their motto: "create a network in order to showcase the terroir that surrounds us."
