Brandes Medieval silver mines, XII-XIV :
From the twelfth to the fourteenth century, a small mining community is implanted at 1800 m altitude to extract money from the mountain. Thanks to models, a playful staging, presentation of objects of daily life, everyone can take a trip in time to meet these minors. Visiting the exhibition at the Museum can be completed by visiting the site.
The museum is a member of the "Route des Savoir-Faire de l'Oisans". and organize a guided visit of the silver mines in the mediaeval village of Brandes (Tuesdays and Fridays at 2.30pm in July and August).
