It has belonged to the Charette de Bois-Foucaut family since the 16th century. Burnt down during the Vendée wars, it was rebuilt under the First Empire. The outbuildings, built by Auguste Charette de Boisfoucault, are in the Clissonnais, or Italian, style... The château was extended between 1895 and 1905.
The entire estate is privately owned and no tours are available.
