Bastide de Castelnaud-de-Gratecambe
Description
This small bastide, situated on a narrow hillside 20 km from Villeneuve-sur-Lot in the direction of Bergerac, was founded around 1256 by Alphonse de Poitiers. Its elongated outline is typical of bastides, but the village has no visible remains. The old church was destroyed during the Wars of Religion.
