Go around the church on allée de l’Eglise turn left on allée Thiellement. Turn right and follow the boulevard de l’Est up to the roundabout then, take the 2nd on the left and follow the allée des Sapins. Turn right in the allée du Château d’Eau and again right in the allée du Télégraphe. At the roundabout of Montfermeil, take the boulevard du Midi on your left to the Jean de la Fontaine school.
It is located at the highest point of the town. It was built on the location of the pump pavilion built in 1780 which was partially providing water to the park of Le Raincy palace. There was in 1798 a telegraph post which had been used to transmit signals from Paris to Strasbourg. The school was built in 1934 of red bricks. On top of the pilasters of the two entrances are representations of cats and peacocks.
