Additional information

The Jean de La Fontaine school

It is located at the highest point of the town. It was built on the location of the pump pavilion built in 1780 which was partially providing water to the park of Le Raincy palace. There was in 1798 a telegraph post which had been used to transmit signals from Paris to Strasbourg. The school was built in 1934 of red bricks. On top of the pilasters of the two entrances are representations of cats and peacocks.
